The Only Thing that Stays the Same is Everything Changes

Part of the reason we've been on this stressful fast-track to house happiness is that we knew living in the Panhandle would be temporary. Patrick and I moved here, away from (most of) our family, away from friends, bought a house, started a new life... it has all been amazing and we've enjoyed (almost) every minute of it, but folks, the time has come for the Bordners to move south. We'll soon be residents (again) in Palm Beach County, a land where the sand doesn't squeak and where there are places like Homegoods and Express and where we won't have to take vacation time for babies and funerals! Maybe after we move we can take more real vacations, like finally getting Patrick to Europe or going to back to Central America or travel to South America or some little island in the middle of nowhere, or even that cruise to Alaska Patrick wanted to do...

We have loved Panama City - the fishing, hunting at the lease, fixing up the house, spending time with my brother and his family, but when  an opportunity comes up for a sweet engineering job in the city you want to live in, I don't know what you would do, but I took it :)

As a little bit of reminiscing, and what's a blog post without a couple pictures, this fishing trip was the reason we moved to Panama City!

beautiful fishing day!

Patrick's amber jack on his first dive ever in PCB

Wish us luck we can sell our house and buy a new one in South Florida that doesn't quite need as much work as the one we bought in the Panhandle!
