Golden Lunch Bags

Oh, blog, I have not forgotten about you. Life has been hectic... my roommates (ahem, parents) have kept us pretty busy, my older sister got engaged (yay!) and is planning a wedding for January (yikes!), we've started looking for houses and decided to try to rent out our place in Panama City, and I haven't had much house-related fun-ness to share. Mostly if I look at Pinterest these days I want to cry out of longing for our own space, but am thankful for living home in our beautiful little Village of Tequesta, and getting to spend holidays with family!

Out of all the Christmas hectic craziness, I did find an easy, money saving Christmas gift bag idea on Pinterest via A Daily Something

When you can spend around $2-3 a gift bag, a pack of 50 lunch bags at Target for $1.87 and a half a can of gold spray paint found in your (parents') garage can save some serious cash.

I went for blue bags and pink paper to mix it up a little bit, although it does sort of look red in my (not so) amazing iPhone pictures below...

To make sure they didn't blow away while spray painting, I set them up on a piece of cardboard, then stuck a rock in the bag. Worked wonders and kept them from moving and smearing the paint.

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas!
