just go.

Sometimes I forget there is a whole world to explore, just a plane flight away. I really need to travel more often, and to more random places. Everyone needs to travel more.

One of the most amazing things about living back on the east coast of Florida is the opportunity for travel. Patrick works sometimes in the Bahamas (tough job ;), so we were able to score a quick weekend on Andros Island, Bahamas, and stay with some college friends, James and Lauren, their 10 month old Liam, and their golden retriever Miles.

They took us to the Blue Hole, which consisted of this deck, off which I am apparently I'm too chicken to jump...

... and looking down, this is what you see, people floating on rafts with floating beer coolers. The people we met who live on the base there were super welcoming - I definitely see a trip back there in our near future.

Then of course, there are picturesque drives around the island (Fresh Creek is the town).

And the local gas station.

I seriously wish I would have remembered to take pictures of the food Lauren cooked. That girl is a miracle in the kitchen. And the boys are great in the water, otherwise we wouldn't have had lonch (conch & lobster, pretty sure we made that up) fritters or grouper parmesan.

Overall, a wonderful weekend with good friends, good food, and too much rum....
