Thrift Store Scores

Patrick commented the other day that our house is starting to look retro. These two pieces aren't going to help in that aspect... but I'm pretty pumped about these two furniture finds. Although, the retro is nothing a future trip to Ikea can't fix with some key pieces.

This campaign end table I found at Goodwill for $20. It's going in guest room #2, the room by the pool. I haven't decided what color it's going to get, so for now I cleaned it and just stuck it in the room.

Piece #2 is going into guest room #1, except I already have both a long and tall dresser in there, will have to do some bargaining with my mom to figure out a new home for them since it was her furniture from when she was a child. I actually had Patrick drive all the way to Stuart with me to go to the Flea Market, I had found a campaign dresser in amazing shape for a great deal but was driving his Tahoe instead of my truck so it wouldn't fit (how do people not drive trucks?? So convenient...). We got all the way up there in my truck, and the stupid flea market was closed, so instead of a wasted trip I had him drive north another mile to the Salvation Army. Here this guy sat, all dirty and too much money. I offered half of what was on the price tag and the wonderful, kind manager took it. This is just the picture I snapped while at the thrift store, it's yet to be put in its final resting place in the house.
