Week 31

You guys. I am officially 32 weeks pregnant today, and our good friends Shannon & Tony just delivered their healthy, handsome, dark haired baby boy last night. I am so incredibly happy for them! They've been looking forward to his arrival for a long time now, and am glad the day has finally arrived! It's surreal to me, because even with all our nursery preparing, crib building, pack-and-play/stroller/carseat practice setup, and baby clothes, I keep forgetting that at the end of this a baby comes out and you have a tiny human that needs your love and support. For the rest of your life. You can't just hand her back to her parents when she's crying or needs a diaper change, because that's me and Patrick. I mean, I could try to give her to Gypsy, but I'm sure she'd just lick the food off of her face and maybe do some snuggling. Maybe sniff her butt, idk.

But really, she's pretty darn cute. (Picture taken by Patrick with our new Canon Rebel, which his mom so generously gave us for a Christmas/baby shower gift!)

Feeling: Feeling so blessed to have family around this Christmas. For the little (and big!) gifts they've gotten Harlee, for their excitement and their support. How great is this onesie? Thanks Eden!!

Not feeling: I hate having a sweet tooth. I've never had one before. This whole "eating two scoops of ice cream from Palm Beach Ice Cream" has got to stop (although I can say it's enjoyable while it lasts?). Maybe I'll try to do the paleo challenge at our box with Patrick when it starts next week (wish me luck!). Oh, and not loving how my feet hurt so badly at the end of the day. At least I have a husband who will give me a massage every once in a while :)

Weight Gain: 17.8 lbs at 30 weeks checkup. About what I use for any sandbag work in a WOD. Heavy.

Projects: Still finishing up bits and pieces. We also think we have time for lots of projects, but then they always take longer than we thought and we never have the time to commit to them we thought we would. #typicalengineer

Patrick has been hard at work trying to finish up the kitchen ceiling before moving onto the countertops. It'd be nice to have that done before our baby shower/party.

He's also painted Harlee's room and put up the baseboard, and although the baseboard still needs the corner round and the nail holes filled, it looks great and I'm super excited with how it's coming together. I'm pretty in love with these two prints from Made by Girl, and may have just ordered them for her room.

In preparation for moving all of Patrick's clothes out of the nursery, I had to get a little creative with jewelry storage. I love my new antler jewelry rack that Patrick screwed into the wall for me!

Planning: Harlee's baby shower <3 , my time off work, how to store all of our Christmas decorations.

Best thing this week: I missed a few weeks, so I suppose I should go back in time a bit.

Watching our good friend Brian's band, Uproot Hootenanny, play at Guananbana's.

Having my sister and her family in town, when we actually stopped projects to spend some time with family, walked down to our dock and spent a few minutes at the beach.

The day at the beach was gorgeous.

Spending Christmas day with my sisters, parents, and our others.

My sister-in-law, Jess, took some pictures of Patrick's brother Mike and his dog, Ssandor, when she went to Japan to visit him over Christmas. Such a handsome pair these two! Can't wait until he's home in May!

Workouts: Feeling more limited everyday, but still moving! Still managed to get in some hand stand push ups at 31 weeks! In other news, check out my CrossFit, Second Trimester post.
